Beast of burden
Beast of burden! I was dragging myself in the vast stretches of desert. All that I wished for, was a few drops of water to relish. The scorching Sun had sucked in all my blood. My sense organs had given up for the want of water. The sun had proved its dominance over me. Hot air blew past my body. I could no longer keep my eyes open. Nature has taken a complete toll. I was worse than a slave. My master whacked me with a stick. It was to indicate that I should be running now. He failed to understand the power built over me by the heat, however hard I tried to protest. I had already stooped down. I saw a tiny Scorpion peeping. I felt miserable seeing him carrying no burden. Desert grasses and cactus flowers grew nearby. But my eyes were only in search of water. Soon my senses had stopped responding.
